I have a variety of books that I use for bookbinding, acquired over the last year or so. Some of them are incredibly useful, none are absolutely useless. I have rated each on two bases: readability and content. The reviews are divided into the bookbinding-specific books and the books on peripheral arts that I use for bookbinding.
If you're surfing here looking for a quick recommendation of a bookbinding book to start out with, I would suggest The Thames and Hudson Manual of Bookbinding, by Arthur Johnson. But do have a browse around some of the other book reviews as well.
